Here are some basic drill patters we use at The York Wing Chun KFA. Once a pattern is understood and good reactions are in the bones then you can diversify and play with the basic drill and build more sequences and movements into your routine.

Beginner Level

Basic Blocking in two's using (Tan Sau - Gaun Sau)

Swivel Punching, Basic Dan Chi Sau, Pushing hands Dan Chi Sau, Attack Defence drills using single technniques. Crossed single sticking hands, Lap Sau in square stance also with changes. Luk Sau

Sui Nim Tau and upto the First half Chum Kiu

Some hand drills to get you going

1. Attacker: WC punch Defender: Pak Sau and punch
2. Attacker: WC punch Defender: Tan Sau and punch
3. Attacker: Low WC punch Defender: Gan Sau and punch
4. Attacker: Low WC punch Defender: Gum Sau and punch
5. Attacker: WC punch Defender: Bon Sau into Tan Sau and punch
6. Attacker: WC punch Defender: Tok Sau and push away
lock shoulder

These Wing Chun punches can be countered on the outside of the arm and then practiced on the inside of the arm.
